Like most types of fast food, pizza is considered quite unhealthy, at least the way it is prepared by fast food places. It contains a high level of carbohydrates, fat, and salt and it contains almost no vitamins, trace elements, and other important nutrients. But this fact does not mean that you cannot enjoy a delicious slice of pizza every now and then, especially if you prepare it by yourself. If you want to be health-conscious, there are some tips and tricks for you about what to pay attention to when making pizza.

Homemade and healthy

First of all, replace white flour with some whole grain kind. The dough won’t be so light like it normally is, but this should not ruin your fun. Try to use homemade pizza sauce along with healthy toppings such as vegetables, and avoid things like ham, pepperoni (pepperoni pizza), bacon and so on.

If you are a real wine expert, this article will probably not be very informative for you. Even if you don’t drink alcohol or simply don’t like wine, you never know when you will have a wine-lover guest, either in your home or as a business partner. In this case, you will hopefully appreciate the time you have spent reading this.

The very basics

The most important and most simple wine rule is this: you should always choose red wine for red meat, and white wine for white meat. Red meats include pork, lamb, beef, veal, duck, deer and other game meats, while white meat comprises of chicken and turkey. Different kinds of fish can also be divided into these two categories: cod, flatfish or haddock are all white fish, and salmon, herring, sardines, mackerel and tuna are red ones.

More basic rules

Let’s go through some further basic rules about how to match wine with certain foods. Here are some pieces of good advice of how to select the right wine during the meal. First of all, it is better to start with white wine and finish with red one. The same applies to dry and sweet wines, too (so start with dry, and continue with sweet). With your dessert, drink a wine that is sweeter than the food itself.

Tips and tricks for pairing your wine with the right food

After going through the basics, we can get familiar with some more detailed rules to pair wine and food. Dry white wine is suitable for different kinds of vegetables (including roasted vegetables) and fish.

Sweet white wine is perfect for soft cheese, hard cheese, cured meat and various sweets. Rich white wine tastes good with soft cheese, fish, rich fish (like crabs) and white meat. Sparkling wines are suitable for soft cheese and hard cheese as well, vegetables, starches (for instance bread) and fish. If you drink light red wine, choose roasted vegetables, rich fish, white meat or cured meat with it.

For medium red wines you should eat roasted vegetables, hard cheese, bread and pastries, both white and red meat or cured meat. Bold red wines fit perfectly with hard cheese, starches, red meat and cured meat. Last but not least, we have to mention dessert wines too: apart from sweets, they are also a good match for soft cheese, starches and cured meats.

So which wine is which?

Let us give some examples of the wine categories mentioned above. Dry white wines include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay or Muscadet. Sweet white wines include Riesling, Muscato, Vouvray. Rich white wines are for example Trimbach Pinot Blanc or Terlan Pinot Bianco. The most famous sparkling wine is definitely champagne. Light red wine is Pinot Noir for instance, medium red is Carignan and bold red wine is Dolcetto. Famous dessert wines include Sauternes or Tokaji Aszú.

Just like at many other places in the world, there are three main courses in Italy as well, namely breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is also quite common to eat a snack between meals, usually around afternoon. The essence of Italian cuisine

What is the first thing that pops into your mind when you hear the following words: tomato, oregano, pasta, espresso, gelato, olive oil, pesto or prosciutto? Even if you are not so familiar with the world of cooking and the different kinds of cuisines, you probably know the answer: these ingredients are commonly used in Italian cuisine.

Moreover, you can probably mention at least four or five typical Italian dishes, such as pizza, pasta, lasagna, tiramisu or gelato. You can buy these meals in countless restaurants and supermarkets, but you can also prepare them in your own home. Not only are they cheaper this way, but they are often healthier as well, not to mention the fact that you can be proud of yourself if you can make some of these delicious meals yourself.

Are you inexperienced in the kitchen? Not a problem! We will introduce you two simple recipes, explaining step by step what you have to do in order to create some of the most popular Italian dishes


Pizza Margherita

Let’s start with everybody’s favorite, pizza! We have not met anyone who did not like it, so this recipe will probably be useful for everybody. We have chosen the most simple kind available: pizza Margherita. It is very easy to prepare, has a delicious taste and the best is that it can be developed further and can be used as a basic recipe for other kinds of pizza, too.

  • First, you can start preparing the dough.
  • Mix together 10 ounces flour with 5 ml instant yeast and 5 ml salt.
  • Mix in one small cup water and 15 ml olive oil, and when it is kneaded perfectly, put it aside.
  • Now you have time to make the sauce.
  • Stir together passata (strained tomato), basil and crushed garlic, and pour it to the top of the dough (roll it until it is very thin first).
  • Place the topping on the sauce: sliced tomato and mozzarella, plus some grated parmesan.
  • Bake the pizza in a preheated oven (around 230 °C) for 8-10 minutes.


If pizza is the favorite, then lasagna must be a close second due to its very typical Italian flavor. We have chosen a rich recipe that is still quite easy to make, although it takes more time than pizza.

  • You can start with cooking the sauce.
  • Take half kilogram sausage, 375-gram ground beef, 110 gram chopped the onion and some crushed garlic, and cook them until the meat turns brown.
  • Blend in 840 gram crushed tomato, 170-gram tomato paste, 170-gram tomato sauce and 118-ml water.
  • Add some spices like salt, pepper, basil, fennel, parsley and Italian spice mix. Cook it on low temperature for about one and half hours.
  • Cook lasagna noodles according to the instructions on the box and prepare the other sauce of 450-gram ricotta, one egg, salt, and parsley.
  • Layer the ingredients in a baking dish: meat sauce, noodles, and ricotta sauce cover the top with mozzarella and bake it for 25 minutes (190°C).

In order to make risotto, you will need to cook the rice in some liquid (cooked from vegetables or meet) until it is creamy. It can be prepared using various ingredients, including mushroom, beef, saffron, wine, beans, peas, pancetta, pumpkin, sausage and many different types of cheese.



A perfect way to use the leftover from risotto is to make arancini. It is a kind of deep fried rice ball, stuffed with some ragu, peas and mozzarella. It can be eaten by itself or together with vegetables.



Espresso is an extraordinary item on this list. Since it is a kind of coffee, it may not be considered as a dish, however, due to its popularity we have decided to include it anyway. It is an extremely strong kind of coffee, thanks to its method of preparation, which results in a high concentration of chemicals (including caffeine).


Panna cotta

A kind of cooked cream fixed with gelatin and with flavors like vanilla, coffee, rum and so on. It can be served by itself or with fruits, chocolate or caramel sauce or some liqueur. Basically, it is very similar to pudding but it is thicker.



One of the most perfect desserts in the world is tiramisu, which is probably the most famous one of Italian sweets. It can only be perfect if made with Italian coffee.

Aperitivo can be translated as an appetizer, and as you might have found out already, it is the opening course. Those who are not so familiar with the world of cooking are probably wondering what the terms mentioned above mean. Most of us know that they refer to cooking outside, but that is all; many of us do not know what kind of things are behind these three letters: BBQ. Does this word cover some type of activity, a kitchen appliance, an ingredient or something else? Is there any difference between barbecuing and grilling or are they basically the same?

One bowl banana bread on your pellet smoker

This big world is full of doubts and question someone questions about how was the world formed, some question about the planet Mars and then we have our food and grill lovers who question about what else can we grill or what else can we make on a grill, their life revolves around food but one day I met a foodie who said he is more of a sugar person, food lover and health conscious  so I informed him about the grilled banana bread.

If you guys also want to know about the yummy grilled banana bread then get ready because you need to read all the ingredients mentioned below and go straight to the supermarket to buy them and if you are also health conscious and the supermarket is nearby, go there but by walking

Ingredients needed-

  1.    Butter (1 stick, 115 grams)
  2.    White sugar (1/2 cup, 145 grams)
  3.    Brown sugar (1/2 cup, 45grams)
  4.    Eggs (02)
  5.    Ripe bananas  (02)
  6.    Vanilla (1 teaspoon)
  7.    Flour (2 cups)
  8.    Baking powder (1 teaspoon)
  9.    Baking soda (1 teaspoon)
  10.    Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
  11.    Cinnamon (1/2 teaspoon)
  12.    Nutmeg (grated, ¼ teaspoon)
  13.    Walnuts (chopped, ½ cup)


  1. 2 large bowls
  2. 2 cast iron skillets
  3. REC TEC Wood Pellet Grill/Smoker
  4. Pellets



  1.    Take a large bowl, put sugar and butter in it, mix with a mixer till it turns out to be creamy.
  2.    Add bananas, vanilla, and eggs in the large bowl and again mix, till it appears to be smooth.
  3.    Take one more bowl and put all the dry ingredients that you have on the ingredient list.
  4.    Pour the egg mixture into the bowl which has dry ingredients in it and mixes well
  5.    Take two iron skillet and put butter in both of them.
  6.    Put half batter in one skillet and the half in the other.
  7.    Heat half of your grill to about 375 degrees.
  8.    Place your iron skillet on the grill, on the side who’s burner is off.
  9.    Bake for about 60 minutes.
  10.    Rotate once and bake for another 30 minutes.
  11.    Allow it to cool down.
  12.    Once good to eat slice it.
  13.    When serving, serve with little butter on the top of it.

Follow all my directions properly to get something amazing on your plate and then straight in your mouth. Isn’t it fun to make something yummy? I every day thank god for inventing the concept of eating, I see grilling as an art but more than that I think after eating something delicious stopping yourself is an art too. Don’t you think so? Because I find it to be fun. Coming back to the recipe use indirect heat and not direct heat I hope you know what I mean and if you don’t know then let me tell you I’m talking about the iron skillet you need to indirectly heat it.

what was I talking about being lazy? Yes half of the food lovers are lazy so the only motivation they have to cook is that the recipe must be less time taking and the procedure must be easy and one such motivating recipe I have which is not only tasty but easy as well,

Ingredients –

  1. Boneless and skinless breasts (2 pounds)
  2. Olive oil (1/4 cup)
  3. Weber 741001 Original Kettle 22-Inch Charcoal Grill
  4. Salt
  5.  Pepper


  1.    Take bamboo skewers and soak them in water and the water must be warm, soak skewers for about 30 minutes.
  2.    Take 3 pieces of your boneless chicken and thread them on each of your bamboo skewers.
  3.    Take olive oil and brush it on your chicken and them put pepper and salt on your chicken.
  4.    Take a paper towel and pour some water on it with some vegetable oil, use tongs to hold it and then oil the grate.
  5.    It’s time you start arranging your skewers on your grill.
  6.    Don’t forget to cover your grill.
  7.    Grill your boneless chicken for about 5 to 8 minutes and turn occasionally.
  8.    Serve it only at room temperature.
